Volunteer for the Festival
We have many volunteer opportunities to choose from and welcome people of all ages.

Be Part of the Action! Join our Team of Volunteers
Over 100 volunteers are needed annually to make the Sudbury Dragon Boat Festival a success. Volunteers assist with a variety of duties leading up to, during, and after the festival. We’d love to have you on board!
This is an outdoor event, and all volunteers should be prepared to work in ANY kind of weather. Volunteers must be a minimum of 12 years of age. Volunteers under the age of 18 must submit a signed, manual Waiver to complete their registration. Volunteers will receive: pizza lunch and snacks, water, a volunteer T-shirt, and following the Festival, there will be a volunteer appreciation dinner where you can mingle with other volunteers and win prizes.
Every year since 2012, we recognize an outstanding Male and outstanding Female Volunteer of the Year. This award has been graciously provided by the McColeman family as a memorial to Judy McColeman, a long standing volunteer for the festival.
