2018 Challenge Series Categories

Challenge Series Categories

The challenge series allows teams to compete directly with the other teams in their category

Each category will be grouped together in the 1st round so that there is head-to-head competition with the 1st place team being declared the champion. For the categories that require more than one race (7 or more teams within a category), the team with the best time from the 2 races will be declared the category champion.

To be eligible for a challenge category, 10 of your team members must meet the criteria for the category – see below. In addition, each team must have 8 female paddlers in the boat.

Trophies will be presented at the Awards Ceremony following completion of the last race of the day.

E-mail the Dragon Boat office (sudburydragonboatsfestival@gmail.com) if you have suggestions for other categories. We will be happy to consider your recommendations.
