2018 Beneficiary

General Information

The time has come to expand Maison McCulloch Hospice.  The 3-year $5.1M STAND BY ME Campaign will fund the Hospice expansion project, as well as renovations to the existing building.  As a result of the generous support of St. Joseph’s Health Centre, the 4-acre property at 1028 South Bay Road is now large enough to accommodate 10 additional beds, with ample space for programming, as well as parking for families and visitors. The Campaign will directly benefit those living with, or affected by, serious illness and grief.  It will also enable the Hospice to offer ongoing support and training to health care professionals, volunteers, and caregivers who provide this vital care at home and in the community.

Pledging to our local charities is an important part of our festival tradition. Our teams have raised approximately $1.7 million in the past nineteen years. Teams and individual members of each team are encouraged to support the Sudbury Hospice Foundation’s capital campaign to expand the Maison McCulloch Hospice by raising funds through pledges.

Individual and team prizes will be awarded based on the amounts raised. All pledges raised by the paddlers support the designated pledge beneficiary and a tax receipt will be issued by the beneficiary.
