General Information
Here you will find general information about teams and the races. Just click on what you want to learn more about or scroll down to learn about registration.
Entry Fees Per Team:

Local teams (Greater Sudbury) | $1,000 | $130 | $1,130 |
Teams outside Greater Sudbury | $700 | $91 | $791 |
Local youth teams (Greater Sudbury) | $500 | $65 | $565 |

Registration includes:
- All equipment (boats, paddles, PFDs) for team members
- Coaching and steering clinics offered through experienced instructors
- Four Free lake practices. Additional practices available at a prescribed fee.
- Challenge Series Cups provide opportunity for friendly competition against other teams within your chosen category
- Team Spirit; compete for more than just racing, by creating a positive enthusiastic team in the park on race day.
- Opportunity to support the annual charity meets their fundraising goals for their capital campaign.

First Team Managers’ Meeting – May 22 at 7pm – Register Here
The first team managers’ meeting is an information session designed to prepare you for practices. Attendance is highly recommended.

Where does the Festival take place?
Where can I park?
We encourage car pooling, cycling, and public transportation are encouraged. Limited, free off-site parking is available at the corner of York and Paris Streets for the public and the parking lot at the old hospital site (Paris and Boland). Details about bus schedules, routes and fares are available online at http://www.greatersudbury.ca/living/transit or by calling 705-675-3333.
Are main parking lots closed?
Free off-site parking is available at the corner of York and Paris Streets for the public and the parking lot at the old hospital site. A section of the York and Paris lot will be blocked off for Festival personel. Is there a fee to attend the festival?
This event is free for spectators. The public is encouraged to attend and cheer on the teams!
Is there entertainment on site?
In addition to the dragon-boat races, there are a number of activities taking place for the whole family. Click here for information.
Race Info
When does the racing start?
Races begin at approximately 9:00 a.m. the day of the race and continue until approximately 4:30 p.m. that day. What happens if it rains? Unless there is if lightning or very high winds, races will proceed as scheduled.
